J. Andrew Sprague is an Ontario licensed lawyer who has particular experience and expertise in business, information technology (IT), privacy, and human rights (accessibility) law.

Andrew advises small, medium-sized and large companies in the private sector (including publicly traded companies), and various government ministries and agencies, municipalities, hospitals, colleges and other institutions in the public sector.  In addition, Andrew advises charitable and not-for-profit organizations.

Andrew launched his own law practice in 2015 after practicing law for 8 years with Miller Thomson LLP, a large national Canadian law firm.

Prior to joining Miller Thomson LLP, Andrew completed his apprenticeship with and practiced at Goodman and Carr LLP (which partnership was subsequently dissolved in March 2007), and he has previously been seconded to the Ontario Securities Commission (Capital Markets Branch), where he assisted on a wide variety of regulatory issues.

Certified Service Dog

Andrew is the handler of National Service Dog (NSD) Flicka, who was paired with Andrew in 2013 (spring). NSD Flicka was bred and trained by National Service Dogs (NSD), a registered Canadian charitable organization, which is accredited by Assistance Dogs International (ADI) to match dogs like NSD Flicka with people like Andrew.  NSD Flicka assists Andrew with the management of a medical condition.

In addition to being an Ambassador for National Service Dogs (NSD), Andrew also serves as a Special Advisor to NSD’s Board of Directors and he is NSD’s Corporate Secretary.
